Your Guide to Smooth, Glowing Skin: Enzyme or PRX-T33 Peel

My clients often ask me: “What’s the difference between an enzyme peel and a PRX-T33 peel?” Both treatments exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin, but in different ways. At Areté Beauty & Wellness, I use both myself and recommend them both, depending on your skin type and goals.

Enzyme Peel – Natural and Gentle

An enzyme peel uses fruit-based enzymes, such as papaya or pineapple, to gently dissolve dead skin cells on the surface. It is the perfect choice for anyone wanting a natural glow without irritation, especially for sensitive skin.

Benefits of enzyme peeling:
• Brightens and smooths skin
• Softens fine lines and pigmentation
• Stimulates collagen production naturally
• Enhances absorption of skincare products

PRX-T33 Gentle Chemical Peel – Deep Renewal Without Peeling

The PRX-T33 is a next-generation gentle chemical peel. Unlike traditional chemical peels, it works deeper in the skin without causing visible peeling. It combines 33% TCA, hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid to stimulate collagen and improve firmness while leaving the surface intact.

Benefits of PRX-T33:
• Firms and lifts the skin
• Reduces fine lines, scars, and uneven tone
• Brightens pigmentation
• Minimal redness, no downtime

Can You Use Both Treatments?

Yes. Enzyme peels and PRX-T33 complement each other well. The enzyme peel gently removes dead cells on the surface, while PRX-T33 works deeper to stimulate renewal and firmness.

To keep the skin balanced, it is recommended to leave about seven days between treatments if using both. This allows your skin to recover fully before the next session.

PRX-T33 Combined with Microneedling

For clients looking for stronger results, PRX-T33 can be combined with microneedling. This allows the peel’s active ingredients to penetrate deeper, maximizing collagen stimulation. With this combination, a few days of redness and sensitivity are normal. Sun exposure, saunas, and hot showers should be avoided for at least 48 hours.

Consistency Matters

While a single treatment can give a visible boost, the best results come with a series of sessions. Consistent treatments gradually improve skin tone, texture, and firmness, while stimulating long-term collagen production.

At Areté Beauty & Wellness, I guide clients through a personalized plan, just as I do for myself, to help your skin look and feel its absolute best.
